Scottish Highlands
Stranded Hydro Plant
A new 1MW hydro facility, beautifully designed to blend in with the area of outstanding natural beauty it was constructed in, had its grid connection delayed by up to a decade.
Renewablox is working with the owners to re-energise the asset by co-locating a flexible datacentre on site.
Projected to go live in Q4 2026!
Lincolnshire
Renewable Peaker Plant using Anaerobic Digestion
An established farm in Lincolnshire has a large on-site anaerobic digestion facility and a combined heat and power (CHP) engine that produces a consistent 500 kW.
This site currently exports all power to the grid, however the fixed PPA means the revenues are sub-optimal.
RenewaBlox will co-locate a flexible datacentre to consume the power by default, whilst enabling the asset to be traded into the wholesale market at times of lucrative pricing.
As a result, the site will become a dispatchable load, displacing existing gas peaker plants at times of high electricity demand.

Central London
Heat as a Service
This multi-use London building with gas boilers reaching end of life is looking to decarbonise its heat, like many other buildings in the UK.
RenewaBlox will look to displace gas boilers with flexible compute, feeding the waste heat directly into the building's hot water system. With a total capacity of 2.75MW, we will deploy the project in phases, enabling proof of concept and uninterrupted heat supplied to the building.
The project will generate revenues through heat contracts, power markets and bitcoin mining, whilst reducing carbon emissions for the building.

RenewaBlox also provides a turnkey service to maximise revenues from your energy.
By utilising our data centre as your primary customer, this enables your site to choose when to export energy by means of ramping down the data centre demand.
This new flexibility unlocks lucrative wholesale pricing opportunities and energy markets such as ancillary & balancing services that compensate >100p / kWh at certain times.
